Fishing Trip With Guides In Malaysia (2019)

Are you here on a business trip or holiday and want to experience the thrill of fresh water fishing?
There are two viable options, one is to call up your friends and let them take you to their fishing spots and the other one (usually if you have no friends) is to find guides to take you fishing.

There are a few professional fishing guide services and fishing charter available in Malaysia. For the purpose of this post, I am only listing two of what I am sure are not sketchy.

1. The Hardworking Angler (Freshwater Fishing)

This guided fishing service will hook you up with the local "Toman" (Giant Snakeheads) and Peacock Bass.
If you are in Kuala Lumpur and have limited time for fishing, you can choose their "Urban Peacock Bass Fishing" package. This fishing spot lies just outside of greater Kuala Lumpur.

With a lot of idle time on your hands, you can try the adventurous "Wild Peacock Bass Fishing" package which will bring you to the state of Perak where the Peacock Bass thrive.

There are Giant Snakehead fishing packages in Temenggor, Air Ganda or the Royal Belum State Park as well.

Check out their website to get in touch with them.

2. Fishyology (Freshwater or Salwater Fishing)

Fishing charter and guide service for saltwater or freshwater fishing. These guys are the real deal.
For freshwater fishing, they will take you up to Temenggor or Royal Belum State Park. This place is the holy grail for Giant Snakehead anglers.

As for saltwater fishing, you can choose from a few designated spots - Kuala Rompin, Port Dickson, Pulau Jarak or Pekan.

Check them out.

*The lists are correct at the time of writing.

Tight Lines.
